The Whakatipu Reforestation Trust is dedicated to bringing native ecosystems back to life in and around Queenstown. By planting thousands of trees and nurturing them to maturity, they are creating thriving habitats for birds, insects and lizards, restoring biodiversity, and reconnecting the landscape with its natural heritage.

This is more than planting trees, it’s about building a living legacy. The Trust works with schools, volunteers, local businesses and visitors to create wildlife corridors, protect endangered species, and ensure future generations inherit a healthier, more resilient environment.
